Robotics Expert is a Fallout 3 Perk.

With the Robotics Expert perk, you do an additional 25% damage to any robot. But, even better, sneaking up on a hostile robot undetected and activating it will put that robot into a permanent shutdown state.

Notes

  • Regardless of what the description states, you may still be able to run up to a robot, enter sneak mode and deactivate it regardless of being detected or not. The first patch seems to fix (but not completely eliminate) this bug.
  • Deactivating a robot will award no experience and will prevent the robot from being accepted as a target in V.A.T.S.. However the unit can still take damage and destroying one will give the same experience and loot as normal.
