Doctor Ted Riley was an employee of Vault-Tec Corporation before the Great War.[1]
Background[]
Riley was one of the doctors conducting research and development on numerous technologies Vault-Tec was developing for usage in the vaults, including the Power Cycle 1000, the soda fountain, and the phoropter. Unlike other Vault-Tec scientists, Riley and his team developed prototypes of the devices that carried no risk to vault dwellers that used them, instead focusing their efforts on making devices that enriched the lives of the users and did not necessarily benefit the vault. This attitude towards experimentation earned Riley scorn and ridicule from his peers.
