I have the delightful task of tabulating stockpiles, kill ratios, mission success rates, radiation deaths, and other truly fascinating numbers.

Tech Sergeant Reyes is in charge of keeping track of the radio transmissions in the Camp Forlorn Hope command center in 2281 at Camp Forlorn Hope.

BackgroundEdit

Reyes is an NCR Army sergeant stationed at Camp Forlorn Hope in 2281. She is officially the communications officer for the besieged post, but also is the de-facto head of communications (mainly radio) security, a responsibility she assigned herself when she realized no one else seemed to care. Despite being the only one in camp headquarters so dedicated to communications work, Reyes shows considerable initiative, dedication, and intelligence. She has enough sense to not be immediately taken in by some of the incredible things being reported, like the Legion possessing trained deathclaws. Reyes sends the Courier to investigate the outrageous reports and also hand-deliver new radio codes at each of the Ranger camps.

NotesEdit

  • Reyes is at Forlorn Hope in spite of the Forlorn Hope mandate which reassigned female troops to Camp McCarran.
  • After you finish the quest "Return to Sender", you can inform Reyes about what happened. If you select the dialogue option, "Forget about it. It's over." She will respond by saying, "Oh, well thanks for helping us get to the bottom of this, I guess". But she will not say this vocally, as the audio file is missing.

Notable quotesEdit

  • "I handle communications for Camp Forlorn Hope, compiling reports I've received from the Rangers at Camp Golf as well as the brass at McCarran."
  • "I have the delightful task of tabulating stockpiles, kill ratios, mission success rates, radiation deaths, and other truly fascinating numbers."
  • "We've received some disturbing reports from some of the Ranger stations - heavy casualties at Alpha, Super Mutant Legionaries at Delta. The weirdest one has to be the Great Khans and their trained Deathclaws at Foxtrot. These reports can't be accurate. Can they?"

AppearancesEdit

Reyes appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.

Behind the scenesEdit

Icon cut contentThe following is based on Fallout: New Vegas cut content and has not been confirmed by canon sources.

A number of interactions between the player and Reyes were cut prior to the release of the game. Of the more interesting options which were cut, a partially removed dialogue option exists where the Courier can tell Reyes "But I already got a tattoo with your name on it. Want to see it?" The circumstances which would have led to the Courier saying this to Reyes are not explained.

Reyes is also an alcoholic, and is, as a result, not taken very seriously by the officers or troopers in the camp.[1]
