Rawr is a unique deathclaw found in the Divide.
Background
Rawr resides in a cave in the Divide. Its incredible speed, coupled with devastating claws, make it a dangerous creature to engage. His victims include a NCR soldier named Gleeson, who managed to survive long enough to record a distress beacon requesting assistance. In the message, it is revealed that Rawr can be driven off with flares, as with any other deathclaw. Therefore, it is one of Rawr's weaknesses, as it will scare it for a short period of time.
When killed, Rawr will drop its own claw. It can be used to make the Fist of Rawr at a workbench, if the Courier has an Unarmed skill of 75.
Location
Rawr can be found in a dark cave just past the Boxwood Hotel roof, near the pipe that has water spewing out of it. Entering the cave triggers a cave-in which will draw Rawr's attention, resulting in it starting battle with the Courier. The Courier will be trapped in the cave until the second warhead, which will fall with the rubble, is detonated.

Notes
- If one switches to third-person view, they may be able to see the body of a deathclaw inside the cave behind the rock wall to the Courier's left. It is not alive, and does not register on the Courier's compass. As soon as the cave is entered far enough, that body vanishes and Rawr appears a short distance deeper into the cavern.
- Rawr's strength allows him to kill the Courier in two strikes, even at level 50 and with a maximum Endurance.
- Occasionally, when sneaking slowly into the cave, the explosion will go off, and Rawr will spawn hostile to the Courier, but will not charge in to attack. Even when Rawr is fired upon and damaged, it will still stay still, as long as the Courier continues to sneak and stays out of Rawr's Perception field.
- Rawr cannot be knocked down by normal means. If the Ranger Takedown is used on him, it will simply be staggered. It can be knocked down with a critical hit from an Anti-Material rifle with explosive rounds.
- Like all abominations, Rawr is afraid of flash bangs and the flare gun.
Appearances
Rawr appears only in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on, Lonesome Road.
Behind the scenes
"Rawr" is internet slang for a roar, specifically that of a dinosaur or cat.
