Rat meat is a consumable item in Fallout: New Vegas. It is not used in crafting any other consumables.

Rat meat is the raw filleted meat of rats, and should not be confused with giant rat meat. It is only sold by Genaro at his stall just inside the north gates of Freeside and can occasionally be found on dead prospectors. It is one of the few meats that is not used in crafting other consumables.
In Zion Canyon, rat meat may be found occasionally in tribal food caches in hollow logs.
