From The Vault
Rad Away is a chemical solution that bonds with radiation particles and passes them through your system. Takes time to work. It is also a potent diuretic. It cannot be used to keep away radiation when entering radioactive areas like Rad-X, but instead is used after receiving radiation to rid yourself of some of it.
It has several adverse effects, most notably headaches and stomach pains.

- Rad Away is needed for the Help Charlie unmarked quest in Fallout 2
[edit] Fallout 3
In Fallout 3, Rad Away is no longer addictive. This item can look a bit like a blood pack and is found in almost every medical and science facility and can often be found in first aid kits that hang on walls or are kept on shelves. It can also be bought from a variety of doctors in the Capital Wasteland.
- Rad Away has a slight glow, making it easier to find in the dark, and indoors(not as strong a glow as a Nuka-Cola Quantum though). There is also Rad Away written on it. This makes it easier to distinguish from a blood pack.
- Rad Away can also, ironically, be occasionally found on every other type of ghoul.
- If you hot key Rad Away and then rapidly press the button it is possible to withstand almost any amout of radiation, except 1000 or more rads/second.
- It is not clear how Rad-Away is administered, though like Blood Packs it is probably drunk.
