Rachel Watkins is a deceased scientist in Nuka-World in 2287.
Background
Before the Great War Rachel obtained her degree in organic chemistry. She later got a job playing Princess Cherry at King Cola's Court. She was one of the two assistants working on Oswald's magic show and worked as one of the Cola Clowns. Being happy that she secured a job at Nuka-World, she made friends with many of her colleagues.
Rachel was one of the many employees who hid inside the employee tunnels during the outbreak of the Great War, together with her boyfriend Oswald. After the survivors had barricaded Kiddie Kingdom, the group began turning into ghouls, with many eventually turning feral. As the only person with a background in science, she undertook the task of caring for the ghouls who had turned feral. When her best friend Fran Fowler turned feral, she became distressed. She eventually left Oswald in charge of the remaining survivors at Kiddie Kingdom, and went to Bradberton and several settlements to search for a cure to ferality.
Her search proved unsuccessful, as the communities she came across, while welcoming even to a ghoul, believed that all ghouls go feral eventually and that the condition was incurable. Disheartened that she failed her mission but encouraged by the lack of prejudice encountered she gave up her search and began her trip back to Nuka-World to inform Oswald of her findings. She made it as far as Bradberton before she noticed that she was slowly turning feral. Unable to bear the thought of hurting people, she recorded a holotape detailing her trip and her love for Oswald before choosing to end her own life.[1][2]
Rachel can be found dead in the town of Bradberton, in a collapsed house two houses east of the town's motel. Bradberton occupies an area northeast of the bottling plant. Her last message lies near her body, next to a lantern.

Effects of player's actions
If you retrieve Rachel's holotape prior to confronting Oswald in Kiddie Kingdom, you will have a speech option to give it to him and he will leave with the ferals, completing that zone.
