The Prisoner was the nickname of the intended Player Character in Van Buren (Black Isle's cancelled Fallout 3). Unlike the Chosen One, he was not a descendant of the Vault Dweller, or any of the Vault 13 people, although at the beginning of the game he wears a prison suit with a 13 on the back, this is because he was locked in cell 13 in Tibbets Facility.

If the player chooses to be male in the tech demo, his dialogue icon appears to be the image of Eric Wu, creator of the popular website Eric Conveys an Emotion.
