Plastic explosives are explosives in Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout Tactics and a cut content weapon in Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.
Background
Plastique was used for decades prior to the War as a mining tool, and is still useful for removing inconvenient nature. Like its more primitive cousin, dynamite, Plastique is both a tool and a weapon. In this case, it takes the form of a large wad of Cordex, a military-grade blasting agent. It has been fitted with a blasting cap, itself wired to a timer. Although an antenna projects from the detonator assembly, there is no provision for remote detonation. As for man-made obstructions, plastique can also remove many types of doors.
Variants
Plastique
A military wad of Cordex (Plastique), with a timer that can be set for up to 3 minutes in 10-second increments.
C-4
A bundle of C-4 explosive, with a remote detonator.
