From The Vault
The Pint-Sized Slasher Gear is an item set in Fallout 3, consisting of the Slasher Knife and the Pint-Sized Slasher Mask. They are the signature items of the Pint-Sized Slasher, a pre-war serial killer who some believed to be more than a myth.

[edit] Tranquility Lane
Found in the Tranquility Lane simulation, this version of the mask has a damage resistance of 6 and cannot be repaired (except by merchants), whereas the high-damage knife can be repaired with other knives, including unique variants.
[edit] Point Lookout
The non-simulation version of the mask in Point Lookout has a damage resistance of 1 and can be repaired with other copies of itself. In addition, it decreases Perception by 1 while increasing Melee Weapons by 5. There is no non-simulation version of the knife.

[edit] Tranquility Lane
The gear is obtained during the Tranquility Lane quest if you decide to help Betty kill all the residents of Tranquility Lane. It is then located in the doghouse beside the Abandoned House and the items are automatically equipped when you receive them.
At the end of the quest or upon exiting the simulation, both mask and knife are automatically removed from your inventory. The glitch which allows you to take items out of the Anchorage Reclamation simulation does not work here due to the fact that the items are "quest items" and cannot be removed from the player.though there are a few non quest items that you can bring with you such as the ammo from the Chinese soilders and the pre war out fit and watch using the anchorage glitch.(confirmed)
[edit] Point Lookout
The Pint-Sized Slasher Mask can be found in 2 locations in Point Lookout:
- The knife has a lot more power than a normal knife - more than twice than any other knife in the game.
- If you acquire the Slasher Knife from TestQAItems, it throws up PipOS Error #-26 (File Not Found) in your Pip-Boy 3000.
- When acquiring the items by using console commands, using the command player.unequipitem once allows you to equip and unequip them as normal. They are impossible to get off your character without using the command player.removeitem (since they are quest items).
- One of the newspapers shown when loading saved games mentions 'The Pint-Sized Slasher' in a side story. The full article can be accessed via the Capitol Post newspaper office in L'Enfant Plaza.
- It is likely that room 1K is the site of a slasher murder, as the tribals don't venture to the pier
- The mask in Kenny's hideout has a glitch of sorts. If you use a single shot weapon(10mm round is best) to shoot the mask in the middle of it's smile, right under the nose, it will break like a cement wall. This causes the mask to now look like it's missing 2 front teeth.

- The mask's placement in the Point Lookout add-on suggests that the mask is a Halloween reference. You find it atop a female corpse which lies in a bathtub.
