The Pascale Incident was an event that destabilized the Taiwan Strait region.

Little is known about the incident and its causes. Just a few months after P.A.M.'s activation, foreign operatives of the U.S. reported that the corrective measures employed in the Taiwan Strait region had greatly stabilized matters after the incident.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

In real life, several military confrontations have occurred between Communist China and the Republic of China in the Taiwan Strait ever since the last days of the Chinese Civil War. In 1949, the Kuomintang forces, led by Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, retreated across the Strait and relocated their government to the island of Taiwan. It has since seen dispute and conflict between the Asian countries, making it a highly tense area.
