Revision as of 21:03, 15 August 2013
This page is about the weapon that is featured in Fallout: New Vegas. For the version that features in Fallout 3, see Nuka-grenade (Fallout 3). |
The Nuka-grenade is a thrown explosive in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Gun Runners' Arsenal.
Characteristics
The Nuka-grenade is an extremely powerful improvised explosive device. It incorporates the radioactive properties of a relatively rare Nuka-Cola variant to produce an enhanced plasma blast. Upon detonation, the target area also becomes irradiated for a short time afterwards.
This grenade is also a holdout weapon.
Crafting
This weapon must be crafted by the player. It cannot be found on enemies or in containers. Also, the player must have the Mad Bomber perk to be able to craft it.
Because the recipe requires Nuka-Cola Quartz, only a small number of these grenades can be created in the base game. With the Nuka Chemist perk, many more can be created (though still potentially finite). If the Honest Hearts add-on has been installed an infinite number of Nuka-Colas may be crafted using the Home-brewed Nuka-Cola recipe which may in turn be crafted into Nuka-Cola Quartz using the Nuka Chemist perk thus allowing the player to craft an infinite number of Nuka-Grenades.
