— Promotional quote

Nuka-World is a pre-War amusement park turned raider town in 2287, located west of Boston.

BackgroundEdit

Construction started on Nuka-World in July 2049, and Nuka-World opened on May 1st, 2050. On opening day, over 40,000 tickets were sold, and plans were made to expand immediately, as it featured only two lands at the time: Nuka-Town USA and Kiddie Kingdom. Dry Rock Gulch opened in 2058, followed by Safari Adventure in 2067. The last park area, Galactic Zone, opened in 2072.[1] Following John-Caleb Bradberton's agreement with General Braxton in 2076, the park saw a decrease in manpower and budget as many resources were diverted to Project Cobalt. Post-War, Nuka-World was turned into a small trading settlement before being taken over by the Operators, Disciples and The Pack and being turned into a city by the raiders.

Behind the scenesEdit

50 Vault-Tec C.E.O.The following is based on unverified behind the scenes information and has not been confirmed by canon sources.

Nuka-World takes strong influence from real-world Disneyland Park. This can be seen in several attractions:

Aside from the many Disneyland references, some can be made to Hersheypark in Hershey, PA as well:

  • A consumable-themed theme park
  • A town nearby named for the founder for the workers to live in
  • An abandoned airfield just outside the park similar to the abandoned Hershey airstrip.

The document in the Nuka-World power plant, cites a reactor accident that is very similar to the chain of events that caused the incident at Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station
