The Nipton Road pit stop is a location in the Mojave Wasteland. Located west of Nipton and due south of Ivanpah Race Track, along Nevada State Route 164.

Layout

It consists of a couple of burned-out houses, a campfire with some healing powder and some makeshift beddings. It is occupied by several members of the Jackals and a Jackal leader, who try to ambush you as you travel through this area.

Notable loot

  • There is a duffle bag next to the wall in the house to the south. It's in the corner of the two walls in front of the blue car, partially hidden by the bush.
  • There are two bags of healing powder by the campfire.
  • There is a briefcase under the blue car (right rear doors) crouch to get it, or simply blow up the car.

Notes

  • The Jackal Gang members occasionally travel from the Nipton Road Pit Stop southeast to Bradley's shack. Their route passing near the south edge of the Mojave Drive-in.
  • The Jackals come in two waves. You won't see them all on your compass at first, as they apparently spawn in the southeast several moments after killing the first group.
  • If you go up the road to the east, towards Nipton, you may run into Jacklyn and Tomas in a gunfight. If you wait for the fight to finish you can pocket 9 Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle caps.
  • On the western side of the brick building are the words "The Burned Man Walks!". This is obviously a reference to Joshua Graham in Honest Hearts.

Appearances

The Nipton Road pit stop appears in Fallout: New Vegas.

Bugs

  • On the back of the billboard with the "A Good Ranger" graffiti is the name "Libby". If you move around while looking at it then you can see that it is floating above the surface it is supposed to be on.
  • Sometimes a Jackal gang leader spawns on top of a Jackal gang member. If the leader is killed in V.A.T.S. then the Jackal gang member will be immune to any V.A.T.S.
