In the early 21st century, when the United States was divided into thirteen commonwealths, the old state of New Mexico became part of the Four States Commonwealth, along with Colorado, Utah and Arizona.

	The following is based on Van Buren and has not been confirmed by canon sources.

Known places in New Mexico include the Reservation. It is possible to rebuilt some railways there.
