Fallout: New Vegas locations project

The Nevada Highway Patrol station is a location just south-south-west of Primm that is used as a base of operations for members of the Jackals.
Layout
Exterior
A few convicts will show up when you first enter the area and will give you a warning to back away before they resort to more hostile measures. If you get any closer at this point, they will become hostile towards you. Outside the patrol station, you can find a Jackal gang leader, accompanied by a couple of Jackal gang members. Also, a few feral ghouls might show up in the area.
In front of the building are a few run-down police cars, one of which contains a skeleton and two suitcases containing large amounts of pre-War money. The entrance, with "FUCK YOU" spray painted on it is to the right side of the building. Also written on the north wall is "I wish I was at the Sierra Madre".
Interior
The inside is inhabited by two other Jackal gang members and a handful of giant mantis nymphs. When you enter the station you will find yourself in a room with a few filing cabinets, a couple of desks, and a broken terminal. Two Jackal gang members will also be in the room. The door to the left leads to a hallway with two water fountains (+5 Rads) and two bathroom doors; the first of which is locked (very easy). The first bathroom contains a first aid box with random contents; the first aid box in the other bathroom is empty. At the end of the hallway is a door to the jail cell room. There you'll find a desk with two hydras on it and a reloading bench with a firehose box on the wall next to it.
In the jail cell at the end of the room lies a dead prospector and several giant mantis nymphs.
Notable loot
- Guns and Bullets - In the first room, on the desk to the left of two desks facing one another.
- Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle cap - lying next to the dead prospector in the jail cell.
Notes
- This area's containers do not get rid of your items (aside from the darker colored filing cabinets), making this location mostly safe for a makeshift player home.
- A giant mantis nymph spawns in one of the bathrooms. Due to their small size and relative weakness, if they stand near the door, opening it will trap, and potentially crush, the mantis between the door and wall.
Appearances
The Nevada Highway Patrol station only appears in Fallout: New Vegas.
