Col. Thomas "Tom" Nelson was a U.S. Army officer and the director of the SCYTHE Program[1] before the Great War.
Background[]
Nelson directed the Army's SCYTHE Program, which oversaw the repurposing of local civilian companies to covertly manufacture military munitions. He was involved in negotiations with Wilson Atomatoys about their part in the program, meeting with the company's CEO Marc Wilson several times in the week before the Great War. In particular, three of the Wilson Atomatoys factory's assembly lines were being converted in preparation to manufacture land mines under this project just prior to the Great War.[2] Having become acquainted with Wilson, he sent him a warning on the day of the Great War that bombers were coming and urged him to get to a shelter.[3]
Nelson was due to meet the CEO of HalluciGen, Inc., Eric Rice, on October 25 to discuss the company's involvement in the SCYTHE Program.[4] He was also the donor of two American flags to the treasury of Jamaica Plain.[5]
