Nathaniel "Nathan" Gibbons was a member of the Gibbons family.

Background[]

Nathaniel Gibbons lived on Cranberry Island with the other members of the Gibbons family. After his grandmother died, his grandfather accused him of messing with the farm's machinery, though would later blame the government instead.[1] In early 2077, he would often go to the output pipes near his grandfather's place, and would become angry and bully his sister Eliza to prevent her from reporting this behavior to his mother.[2] When Eliza asked him about what it meant that the farm was "insured," Nathan told her not to worry about it, but to be excited about their inheritance once their grandfather passed away.[3]

He was supposed to take Eliza to a Halloween party in Bar Harbor before the bombs fell, but he was not there to do so. Eliza mentions in her journal that lately Nathaniel was gone a lot, so it was a common occurrence for him to disappear. His mother took Eliza to the party in his stead.[4]

When the Great War struck later on, the other family members, including Nathan's grandfather, parents, and his brother, locked themselves in the family bunker where they became trapped after the machinery controlling the door was broken.[5] To add insult to injury, Nathaniel did not stock the bunker with supplies like he was supposed to.[6][7]

Appearances[]

Nathaniel Gibbons was mentioned only in the Fallout 4 add-on Far Harbor. He was originally going to appear as a feral ghoul, though was cut from the game.
