For an overview of nail board weapons, see nail board. |
The nail board is a weapon in Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics[]
A two-handed blunt melee weapon. It deals a moderate amount of damage per strike while having the third-lowest attack speed of all blunt melee weapons. It also has the second-lowest durability of all blunt melee weapons along with the 9 iron.
Visually, the weapon is identical to its counterpart in Fallout 3, being a 2x4 with long, rusty nails embedded at the end of the wooden body and a whittled shaft to ensure a better grip.
Special attack[]
The nail board has a special Grand Slam attack that does 200% damage in V.A.T.S. at the cost of 11 more action points and requires a Melee skill of 50.

- Note: Melee weapons do double normal damage in V.A.T.S.
It is possible to execute Grand Slam outside of V.A.T.S. (without the required Melee skill of 50 to perform the move) by initiating a power attack (hold attack button) while moving forward.
Durability[]
The nail board can successfully strike about 295 times from full condition before breaking.
