Mutilated limbs are a miscellaneous item in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.

CharacteristicsEdit

Mutilated limbs in Fallout 3 are the mangled, bloody remains of humans who have been killed and/or devoured by super mutants, cannibals or other wasteland monsters. They are worthless for selling, though they can be used as either Rock-It Launcher ammunition or as possible decoration for My Megaton house or the Tenpenny Tower suite.

In Fallout: New Vegas they serve no purpose except for decoration.

LocationsEdit

In Fallout 3, lootable mutilated limbs can be found randomly generated in gore bags, which are almost always found in super mutant camps and sometimes in raider camps.

In Fallout: New Vegas, there are five types of mutilated body parts: arm, leg, organs, skull and torso. Mutilated legs and organs can be found at the REPCONN test site, in the facility room with metal staircases. Near the entrance to Lake Mead cave is a small fishing boat, partially above water, but mostly below water. Underwater, near the boat, are four gore bags that contain random mutilated body parts. In The Divide, random body parts can be found near marked men campfires. All five mutilated body parts can be found east of the High Road entrance, next to the campfire.

NotesEdit

  • Even with the Cannibal perk, mutilated limbs are not consumable.
  • In each gore bag, there are always two mutilated limbs of one type, i.e. 2 mutilated legs or 2 mutilated skulls, never a combination of them, and about a 50/50 chance of finding caps, ammunition, grenades or miscellaneous items.
