mortar is a weapon in the Fallout 4 add-on .
The mortar, when connected to a power grid of sufficient supply, will fire any ingame object a distance away from it. Items such as weapons, apparel, junk and even the player can be launched from the device with varying results based upon the current angle and weight of the object in question. Additionally, the power of the mortar can be altered by connecting it to a terminal on the same power grid and selecting the amount of desired force.
