They say your aunt Morlis has been hoarding a piece. She's so ill-tempered I don't think anyone's asked her. Of course, the witch will want something in return.Mynoc

Morlis is a tribal from Arroyo, an aunt of the Chosen One (and therefore a sister of the Arroyo elder or the Chosen One's father) and the mother of Nagor.

Background[]

An older woman who never had much affection for her nephew/niece,[1] Morlis can later soften up and wish the Chosen One luck in the quest for the G.E.C.K. if they manage to convince her to give a sharpening stone for the improved spear in a Speech challenge.

Obtain flint to have Mynoc sharpen your spear: Mynoc suggests the Chosen One asks their aunt Morlis for some flint; however, getting it from her is harder than it sounds.

Effects of player's actions[]

  • If the player takes a long time finding the G.E.C.K. after saving Smoke and returning him to Nagor, Morlis will eventually be forced to kill and cook her son's dog for food to avoid starvation. This only happens after the fourth vision of Hakunin.
  • She will soften up and wish the player character luck in the quest for the G.E.C.K. if they managed to convince her to give them the flint in Mynoc's quest through a Speech check.
