She's packed with boom and va-va-voom.— In-game description

The Miss Launcher is a weapon that appears in Fallout Shelter.

Background[]

This section is transcluded from Missile launcher. To change it, please edit the transcluded page.

The Miss Launcher is a unique version of the Fallout 3 missile launcher model. Created by Brotherhood Outcasts Specialist J.J. Browne, it is more comparable to a grenade launcher than a rocket launcher, as it has an arcing flight similar to the Fat Man. Standard missiles fired from this weapon do not fly; instead, the missile-tube itself has been converted to propel them pneumatically. In doing so, both the missile's explosive warhead and unused solid rocket fuel are free to detonate together, increasing the missile's explosive damage potential by 30%.

Characteristics[]

The Miss Launcher is a heavy weapon featured in Fallout Shelter that can fire multiple varieties of missiles and rockets.

This missile launcher variant is more akin to a grenade launcher than a missile launcher as the missiles are pneumatically ejected from the barrel instead of fired out using the missile's rocket. This allows both the missile's payload and its rocket fuel to detonate together, massively boosting the damage potential over the regular variant.

Dealing 20 minimum damage per attack, missile launchers have the third highest damage output for a heavy weapon in the game.

Notes[]

  • All dwellers hold the missile launcher backwards. The weapon's handle is behind the dweller and the shoulder rest is in front of them, which is different from the way it is held in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
  • All variants of the missile launcher in Fallout Shelter are poor choices for combat against multiple opponents. Refer to the weapons page for details.

Behind the scenes[]

The name is a reference to a gun of the same name in Fallout 3.
