Millicent Wellington is a resident of Tenpenny Tower who can often be found arguing with her husband, Edgar Wellington II, or demanding his attention. She is one of several bigoted residents you must try to convince to change her mind if you are attempting to help move Roy Phillips' ghouls into Tenpenny Tower.

If you take the love letter off Susan Lancaster's desk and bring it to Millicent, she will immediately run off to find her husband; she will proceed to kill him with her 10mm pistol, and go after Susan herself (the guards seem not to mind).

After both murders are committed, she will abandon Tenpenny Tower for the wasteland.

[edit] Notes

  • After murdering her husband, she has been known to exit Tenpenny Tower in favor of the wastes. Barring any mortal interference from randomly spawned NPCs, she heads to the entrance of the train station to the ghouls.(She has a fully repaired 10mm pistol which can be useful to a low level player)
  • She may continue to shoot her husband for a few moments after he's already dead. In one case she walked completely out of the room while they player character looted her husbands corpse, and then moments later, came back and shot at him with another entire magazine.
  • She appears to 'fire from the hip' so to speak, only raising her pistol to her waist and firing into her targets low torso, taking 6 - 10 shots to actually kill either individual, who never seem to run or fight back. She seems to be aiming at the crotch.
  • If the player attempts to talk to her after she murders her husband, she simply says, "I loved that stupid man. Now that he's gone, I'm lost. . ."
  • If the player convinces Mr. Wellington first, gives her the love letter, then convinces her before she kills her husband, she will kill him and you will have convinced her.

[edit] Glitches

  • After the player convinces Millicent Wellington that ghouls will be moving into Tenpenny Tower, she will be impossible to address, walking around her room and continuously stating "I can't talk now" when spoken to. This will stop the player from giving her the Susan Lancaster loveletter. If this happens hit her with the mesmetron. she will run around crazy and the guards will take care of her.
  • After completing Tenpenny Tower she has been known to run out into the Wasteland at twice the normal running speed. She runs past the RobCo Facility and into the Wastes, where she runs around with no specific destination.
  • After killing Roy Phillips all she will address you with is "You did it, you got rid of those vile creatures! Good show!", and you will be unable to show her the Susan Lancaster loveletter.
  • After Millicent kills her husband and his mistress, her corpse was found later in the "Cafe Beau Monde". Perhaps she committed suicide to avoid retribution by security.
  • If you attempt to steal from her and are caught the moment before she begins firing on her husband, she'll put away her pistol to take back whatever you stole. She will then just stand in place without attacking, and Edgar will act like nothing ever happened. She will no longer initiate conversation with the player ("I can't talk now" is all she will say) and will never move from the location where she was pickpocketed unless attacked or killed.
  • It seems that it is entirely impossible to shoot the gun from Millicent's hand once she has drawn it. Whether this is a glitch or an intentional design choice is unknown.
    • There have been reports of players being able to shoot the gun out of her hand; this results in both characters freezing for the rest of the game.
  • If you kill her before without any contact or quest related activation, you may not find the pistol that she kills her husband with.
  • If you kill her just before she shoots one of her victims, that person will die, despite not being shot.
    • This is because it's a scripted scene, which is also why she is never attacked by the security in the tower for the murder of her husband and Susan Lancaster.
  • After giving her the loveletter, she will confront her husband about the matter. If you wait until she is done speaking to her husband, you can pickpocket 10mm rounds (10) from her. She will then empty her clip on her husband and when she is done she will run to Susan Lancaster and proceed to shoot her although she doesn't have any ammo.
  • Sometimes after you show her the love letter she will kill her husband and Susan then walk to the entrance and get stuck in the cornor near the tabels.
  • One time, her husband just walked away and she just took her gun out and put it away over and over again. She then shot so fast it looked like it was fully automatic.

[edit] Appearances

Millicent Wellington only appears in Fallout 3.
