Melchior

Presumably an illusionist and miner in Redding, Melchior the super mutant currently resides in the forth level of the Mariposa Military Base facility. WARNING!!! Approach with extreme caution. Mutant is known to be able to summon horrific beasts (deathclaws, geckos and other).

Good source of information about him is his immature son in Redding.

Melchior was kidnapped from Redding by the Enclave as witnessed by his young son, Melchior Junior. Melchior seems to have adopted the position of leader among the 2nd generation super mutants. Whether he masterminded the rebellion against the Enclave slave masters is not known but his magicians skills where almost certainly used to accumulate and hide weapons. When he was human his best trick was pulling a rat out of a hat.

The name Melchior may refer to one of the Three-Wise Men, of which the names were supposedly Melchior, Gaspar and Belthasar. It could also be a reference to the classic RPG, Chrono Trigger, of which Melchior is the Guru of Life.
