Background
Edit
Med-Tek was a large medical-pharmaceutical company, gaining its fame after creating the Mentats, a drug designed to increase memory-related functions and speed up other mental processes.
Shortly before the bombs fell, the company experimented with different flavors of fruit Mentats. It used an exhibit sponsorship deal to place the experimental berry Mentats, grape Mentats and orange Mentats in a prize redemption terminal in the National Archives, much to the displeasure of the facility administrator.
Another less recognized product of Med-Tek is Fixer, especially created to temporarily cure drug addiction.
The company is known for selling their pharmaceutical products in both cardboard and tin packaging, the latter a bit more likely to survive the nuclear holocaust.

Notes
Edit
The company's name is misspelled as "Med-Tex" on the packaging for Fixer.
Appearances
Edit
The company product Mentats appears in Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout Tactics. Fixer appears only in Fallout: New Vegas. Additional other products appear in Fallout 3, along with a terminal entry in the National Archives describing an exhibit sponsorship deal.
Products from Med Tek were to appear in Fallout Online, Interplay's orignal Project V13, since abandoned in favor of an unrelated project by the same name.
