The essence of champions flows through your veins. When you cannibalize corpses you temporarily gain Caesar's intelligence, Mr. House's luck, The King's charisma, and President Kimball's strength.— In-game description

Meat of Champions is a special perk in Fallout: New Vegas.

Requirements[]

This perk is rewarded by taking the Cannibal perk and using it to consume the corpses of Caesar, Mr. House, The King, and President Kimball.

Effects[]

Gaining this perk grants a temporary bonus of +1 to Luck, Intelligence, Charisma and Strength for 60 seconds after eating any human corpse.

Notes[]

  • The easiest method to obtain this perk requires progressing Render Unto Caesar as President Kimball and Mr. House are required to be killed as part of the quest-chain. When the chain reaches Et Tumor, Brute?, there is an opportunity to kill Caesar and keep the guards friendly through Speech or Medicine skill checks. The King meanwhile can be killed at one's leisure by going to the King's School of Impersonation in Freeside.
  • The benefits of the perk are quite negligible (the temporary Luck bonus might help win at gambling, but once banned from all casinos, it's hardly worth it) compared to the cost of alienating three of the four major factions and forcing one to follow the Wild Card quest-chain with Yes Man in order to complete the main story.
  • The perk's effect does not activate when using the Dine and Dash perk to obtain and consume human remains.

Behind the scenes[]

Jason Bergman came up with the idea for Meat of Champions.[Non-game 1]
