When you arrive at Arefu you are asked by [[Evan King]] to check on every resident of Arefu. When you go inside the [[West Residence]] you see Matilda and her husband lying dead on the floor. With a high enough [[Medicine]] skill, you can reveal they were bitten on the neck, and that the bite goes all the way to the bone. Notes
- It is quite clear that Matilda was dead from the beginning of the game, as she cannot be resurrected and cannot be searched/looted.
- She and her husband are both immune to being dismembered, even by a high power weapon such the minigun.
