“Trips to the basement are rarely so educational, don't you think?”— Mr. House
The Lucky 38 basement is the basement in the Lucky 38 Casino. Here, Mr. House (or Yes Man if the Courier chooses to take over New Vegas) shows the Courier the abilities of the securitron MKII's.
Layout
The basement appears to be a large firing range. The Courier stands behind a barrier on a viewing platform while two securitrons stand below in said firing range. There are no entrances or exits accessible by the player character, and the area can only be visited once during a mission.
Notable loot
- Binoculars can be found on the table on the viewing platform.
- A 9mm submachine gun in full condition can be found on the table behind the Courier.
- A 9mm pistol in full condition can be found on the same table as the 9mm submachine gun.
Notes
- The terminal that can be seen across the room that can't be accessed simply has a status message for the Lucky 38's main reactor. At the time of watching the Securitron's demonstration, it was stated that the reactor was offline. If the Courier turns the reactor on by completing Wild Card: Finishing Touches or The House Always Wins VII, the terminal will be blank.
- If the energy barrier/wall is hit with a power fist, bloodspatters will come off.
- The special power of the sonic emitter does not affect the energy barrier.

The Lucky 38 basement appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.
