Lone Star is a major town in Texas that used to be known as Abilene before the Great War. It is the third major settlement encountered in the game. There are 4 main factions residing in Lone Star, The ghoul trading company, Caesar's Raiders, The lawmen, and the Hand Gang, and everyone wants everyone else dead. The ghoul trading company is having problems with the raiders, and the lawmen are fed up with the hand gang's reckless activity.
Lone Star is also home to Vault 39. Vault 39 is currently closed to the player character, but a strange man with seeds has caught your attention. The PC eventually heads east towards Fort Worth.
