Kurisu is the sister of Sulik, a young tribal girl kidnapped by slavers. Although Sulik's quest was to find her, he never did.

She somehow appeared many years later somewhere in the Southwest and became the leader of the Blackfoot tribe.

Kurisu was first mentioned in Fallout 2, but was not given a name. She was initially meant to be found in the game, but this quest was eventually unfinished. She was to appear in Black Isle's Fallout 3 project (Van Buren) as a joinable ally, but it was canceled. Her name was revealed in the Van Buren leaks (it's a joke concerning Avellone's first name, her name being 'Chris' with Japanese pronunciation).
She was added back into Fallout 2 via Killap's Fallout 2 Restoration Project where she can be rescued in a slaver outpost and brought back to the Primitive Tribe, Sulik continues to follow the Chosen One out of loyalty and friendship even though his quest is now complete.
