While in Denver, the Prisoner can find a broken down Mr. Handy unit called Job that used to be in charge of records for the Denver City police department. It needs a few parts, but if fixed and rebooted, it will serve as a loyal companion. It is not equipped with any weapons, and has some flaws that make it less than ideal in combat, but is good at spotting electronic traps.
Job suffers from a number of problems, including the lack of a battery. It is slow and non-combat oriented (all enemies get +10 to hit it), and has no voice module. On the other hand, its abilities include: clean, pest control, interact, retrieve, file, restrain, and detect electronic traps that make it useful throughout Denver. Job will not leave Denver unless reprogrammed to do so.
Job has not appeared nor is it mentioned in any currently published game. It was to appear only in Van Buren, the canceled Fallout 3 by Black Isle Studios. It is not certain if Job will appear in any future Fallout game.
