Jim (GNN Employee #68) was a man who worked at Galaxy News Network's GNN building in Boston in 2077.
Background[]
Jim despised every aspect of his job. He found numerous flaws related to his desk placement, including a flickering light and a leaky wall. He also disliked his coworker, Boris, a foreign exchange intern, who he was convinced was the source of a pungeant smell plaguing his area. He was constantly annoyed by Boris' attempts to read his terminal, revealing that he was only pretending to work most of the time and assuming that Boris could not actually read English.[1]
What Jim didn't know was that the smell was not from Boris. Two of his other coworkers, Gerald and Sam, were pulling a prank on him by putting their old lunch in his desk drawers. Jim, who had not checked his desk in weeks, did not realize this.[2] Furthermore, his coworker Boris actually could read English and understood every word of what Jim was writing, admonishing him for it. Boris only paid attention to Jim because he thought that Jim was the source of the smell.[3]
