Jeffrey Duncan Jones (born September 28, 1946) is an American actor. He has appeared in many films and television shows, but may be best known for his roles as Charles Deetz in Beetlejuice, as Emperor Joseph II in Milos Forman's Academy Award-winning Amadeus, as the infamous dean of students, Edward R. Rooney, in the 1986 John Hughes film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

In 2003 he was arrested for possessing child pornography and soliciting a 14 year old. he pled "No Contest" and was sentenced to 5 years probation.[1] He was subsequently arrested in 2010 for not updating his details on the sexual offenders register.[2]
