Jay Christopher Esparza started in the gaming industry with Tachyon Studios (Oakhurst, CA). There he worked on Blood & Magic (1996), Fallout (Interplay 1997), and two unpublished titles. In 1997 he joined Sierra On-Line (Oakhurst, CA), where he worked on Lighthouse (1998), Collier's Encyclopedia (1998), Police Quest: SWAT 2 (1998), and J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth. In 1999 Jay transferred to Berkeley Systems (Berkeley, CA), to art direct on Orcs: Revenge of the Ancient. The title was never published. He worked on Rock & Roll Trivia for PC. Jay was promoted to Art Manager in 1999 but soon left the company (April 2000). Jay spent two years as a Senior Art Director for Chiodo Arts and Themed Creations (Oakland, CA), a design studio specializing in Halloween consumer products and themed design.

Jay is currently working for Visual Concepts Entertainment (Take Two Interactive) in San Rafael. He has worked on NFL 2K3, NBA 2K3, NFL2K4, ESPN NFL Football and ESPN NBA Basketball (PS2, XBox), College Hoops 2K5, 2K6 (PS2, Xbox) and College Hoops for Xbox 360. He is currently the User Interface Dessign Lead for all 2K Sports titles.
