James Wilson (September 14, 1742 – 1798) was a Scottish-born American political leader.
Born in Fife, Scotland in 1742 to a farming family, James Wilson later on went to several Scottish universities. However, he had yet to attain a degree in any of these. He then moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he began to teach and tutor. A few years later he had also begun to study law.
Eventually he was sent to the Second Continental Congress as a representative from Pennsylvania, and was one of the 56 delegates to sign the Declaration of Independence. Later on, in 1789, he was appointed as an Associate Justice to the newly formed US Supreme Court.
In 1798, James Wilson died of a stroke while visiting a friend.
James Wilson is mentioned only in Fallout 3.
