Commander Jabsco is the leader of the Talon Company in Fallout 3, and the only member of the organization not to wear its trademark armor. Instead, he wears metal armor and a Talon Company combat helmet, a unique piece of armor, and uses the Occam's Razor unique weapon in close combat, on top of being the boss character of the Fort Bannister dungeon.

Background[]

Jabsco is the brains of Talon Company, planning mercenary operations from the safety of his bunker within Fort Bannister. Although he claims to be a combat veteran who proved his ability many times over, his subordinates have yet to see proof of his claims. In fact, he is called Jetting Jabsco behind his back, as he apparently tends to flee combat, rather than face any but favorable odds.[Non-game 1]

Interactions with the player character[]

Interactions overview[]

Interactions
Severed
This character drops a finger upon death (Lawbringer).

Other interactions[]

  • Commander Jabsco is a hostile non-player character who can only be fought. He has a substantial amount of health (more than a deathclaw or companions), good armor (metal armor and a Talon Company combat helmet), and uses a missile launcher, Chinese pistol and Occam's Razor in combat, making him the boss character of Fort Bannister.
  • Furthermore, Jabsco is supported by two to three Talon mercenaries who spawn when the player enters combat with him (they are scaled down to be extremely short, almost child-sized), and the commander will immediately activate a Mister Gutsy to assist him using a nearby terminal. Finally, he is protected by a pair of automated turrets, which can be turned loose on the Talon mercs using a terminal located just before Jabsco's bunker.
  • Broken Steel Killing Commander Jabsco before completing Take it Back! (thus ending the main storyline) will prevent the occurrence of a special encounter in the Broken Steel add-on, in which Paladin Jensen and a squad of Brotherhood of Steel paladins launch an attack on the Talon Company forces around Fort Bannister.

Leader of the Talon Company Mercenaries, Jabsco says he has proved his worth in the combat zone countless times, although his troops haven't seen evidence of this. Nor are they likely to; Jabsco plans attacks on all foes from a bunker deep within Fort Bannister. Face him with considerable force, and you may see why his critics have dubbed him 'Jetting Jabsco' for his tendency to flee combat."
