Isla Negra Realty Company had made a deal with Constance Blackhall when she became a widow in 2058, acquiring the Blackhall family real estate in Point Lookout. Despite overwhelming local cultural resistance, Isla Negra persistently attempted to bring tourism and modernization to Point Lookout and St. Mary's County.
