The Hoover Dam visitor center is an unmarked location within Hoover Dam in the Mojave Wasteland in Fallout: New Vegas.

Layout[]

Outside the building, there are two staircases that lead to the front entrance of the visitor center. In the back of the building, there is a ladder to the roof, which also has a door that leads to the second floor.

From the front door entrance, the front desk is immediately inside with a terminal and the Hoover Dam snow globe resting on the counter. To the left of the front desk is the elevator to Hoover Dam offices, and in the back is a door to a storage closet. On the second floor is another elevator to the offices and in the back, the staircase to the roof. There's also another door to the exterior of the Hoover Dam.

Notable loot[]

Notes[]

On the first approach to the exterior main entrance, a generic NCR ranger will be seen standing outside the door and will offer generic dialogue talking about Colonel Moore.

Appearances[]

The Hoover Dam visitor center appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.

Behind the scenes[]

The in-game Hoover Dam visitor center is based on the visitor center atop the real world Hoover Dam, located on the Nevada side. The distinctive speckled floors seen in-game strike a strong resemblance to the black and white terrazzo flooring of the real-world location, as well as the appearance of golden Art Deco and southwestern themed inlays.
