“
A Holy relic of godly might.
”— Fallout 2 In-game descriptionThe Holy Hand Grenade is a thrown weapon in Fallout 2.
Characteristics
Edit
It looks a lot more old-fashioned than the frag grenade and also has a small cross on the top. It's real advantage over the frag grenade comes from the large increase of power and longer throwing distance.
Locations
Edit
It's possible to acquire this weapon in a special encounter where 4 or 5 knights in power armor are fighting a rat. Sneak past them into the cave or wait until only the rat is left. The rat can't be killed except when you hit its eyes. The Grenade is in the cave behind it.
Behind the scenes
Edit
- The weapon is a reference to Monty Python and the Holy Grail, specifically the weapon therein known as the "Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch".
- The rat is a reference to the killer rabbit from the same movie.
