The memory cells in hologram emitters can only perceive their environment in a cone in front of the hologram they project. They can, however, change the direction that the projection faces as needed to scan the environment for unauthorized activity.
All assaults are useless against the holograms themselves. They cannot be wounded, damaged, or harmed unless their emitter is destroyed or disabled. Hologram emitters are sturdy, yet can be damaged or broken if enough force is applied. The best method is usually shooting them. In addition, while they are protected inside sturdy space age alloys, their circuits are vulnerable to being tampered with, and they can be disabled with 25 Repair.(Note: It takes 100 repair to disable the emitters in the vault.)
The hologram emitter is usually controlled by a nearby terminal, which can change the security hologram’s patrol route from one location to another. Some terminals will also enable the user to make the holograms friendly.
Hologram emitters are found in the Sierra Madre Villa and the Sierra Madre Casino. Since the emitters have a limited range, they are usually found very close to the area where their holograms are projected. They are usually attached to walls, often high out of the direct line of sight.
