The following is based on design documents from the cancelled Fallout movie and is not canon. |
Historian is a character who was set to appear in the canceled Fallout film.
Background[]
The Historian is an old man, who self-identifies as the expert on the cause of the Great War, referred to in the Fallout film treatment as WWIII. He approaches the Hero in the hopes of gaining information on Vault 13 in order to include it as the last chapter of the book he is writing concerning WWIII and its effects. He claims that the vaults were effectively occupied by upper-middle class families ensuring their role in the future, and that the war was started by a 'zealot businessman,' who was intent on ensuring his prophecy of annihilation was fulfilled. This then triggered panicked reactions by other nations, who began nuking each other. WWIII lasted only 4 hours, one of the few points consistent with the war of the games.[1] This businessman is later revealed to be the overseer.[2]
Appearances[]
Historian was going to appear in the canceled Fallout film by Interplay Films.
