To learn the basics of editing a wiki, go to the page editing guide.

To create a new article, just click on a red link to it or enter it in the search box, click "go" or press "Enter" and you'll get a link for creating a new article.

Use stub in an article that you've started, but want to expand (or have others expand) into a much bigger article.

To redirect a page to another page, for example, to have Fallout 1 redirect to Fallout 1: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game, use #redirect <name of article to redirect to>

 • Titles such as album names, names of games, etc, should be in italic, even if you make them a wiki link.
 • Do not overuse bold. Use it only for the word which is the title of the article at its first occurence.
 • Do not overlink. A page should be linked to from a given article only once, on its first occurence

When creating articles with a reoccurring nature, please use templates. Templates help create a standard style for pages with a similar theme, like armor or weapons pages. For help with using templates, please refer to the The Vault:Templates

When creating a new category, please put {catmore} when you edit the category, and be sure to create an article with the same name as the category that contains the info. This will prevent the problem of having categories, but when someone tries to find them he comes to a blank page.

Do not overcapitalize. Names of articles and categories should be Fallout games, Fallout series, Fallout setting etc. not Fallout Games, Fallout Series and Fallout Setting.

You can link to Wikipedia articles on real life stuff by putting "wikipedia:" in the link. Don't forget to add I after the article name, so that the "wikipedia" prefix doesn't show. Such links have the same color as other external links, but are shown without the external link arrow. They might be useful for linking to stuff like voice actors or real-life weapons. Example:

wikipedia:Ron Perlman is displayed as Ron Perlman.

Similarly, you can link to Wikipocalypse articles by putting "wikip:" in the link. Example:

wikip:Duck and Cover is displayed as Duck and Cover.
