Heavy Gunner is a perk in Fallout 4.

EffectsEdit

The Heavy Gunner perk increases the damage dealt by heavy weapons such as miniguns, missile launchers, Fat Man, etc.

Because most heavy weapons use an explosive effect in addition to their projectile damage, Heavy Gunner is set to increase explosives damage on heavy weapons. This means that most heavy weapons will also be improved by the Demolition Expert perk, and because these stack multiplicatively, taking both to their highest rank will equal four times the explosive damage on heavy weapons. In the case of a minigun with the legendary Explosive prefix, this can mean an incredibly high bonus to damage. With Heavy Gunner rank 5, Demolition Expert rank 4 and the Explosives bobblehead, the Explosive effect on the minigun will add 69 damage per shot, in addition to Heavy Gunner already doubling the bullet damage.
