Healing Rate

From The Vault

Healing Rate
Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics
modifies: HP healed per day, effect of healing on player
modified by: Endurance
initial level: 1/3 * Endurance (minimum 1)
related perks: Faster Healing
related traits: Fast Metabolism

Healing Rate is a derived statistic in Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.

At the end of each day, your character will heal 1 hit point for each point of Healing Rate. When you rest, you heal every six hours. It also has an effect on healing done to you.

Initial Level: Starting healing rate is equal to 1/3 Endurance, with a minimum of 1. Average characters will have a healing rate of 1.

[edit] Fallout 3

Fallout 3 has no healing rate since sleeping in any unowned bed for any length of time will fully restore your health and limbs. However, the amount of health stimpacks heal can be increased along with Medicine skill. Some food items can also heal you above their normal amount with the use of the Food Sanitizer which you obtain from Moira. (ie Nuka-Cola heals 12 instead of 10) Additionally, obtaining the Hematophage perk from Vance after completing Blood Ties (quest) will cause Blood packs to heal 20 instead of 1.
