Fallout 3 NPC overhaul project

Harden Simms, Lucas Simms's son, is a good friend of Maggie and is usually seen near Maggie in the mid-morning to late afternoon. He will not say more than a few words to the player unless his father is dead or until after the Megaton bomb's deactivation.
[edit] Background
Harden was born in 2267. His dad named him after Old West outlaw John Wesley Harden[1].
[edit] Inventory
- If the player kills Lucas Simms and dons his clothing (Sheriff's Duster + Sheriff's Hat), Harden may say, "You might wear his badge but you're not my dad" when the player passes.
- If Lucas Simms is nearby, Harden will say "Hey mister, you better not try anything, my dad is over there." Following this exchange, the player can enter conversation mode with Harden instead of receiving the usual subtitled comments.
- As with all other children, you cannot normally kill Harden or target him in V.A.T.S.. However, along with Maggie and Arthur Maxson, he is presumably one of only three children in the game you can kill, as he is completely removed from the game if you decide to destroy Megaton.
- If Lucas Simms was killed during or before The Power of the Atom and the player chose to disarm the bomb, Harden will reward you with a home in Megaton and any caps you requested at the beginning of the quest.
- The Child At Heart perk has no effect on this character.
- If you decide to venture into Harden Simms bedroom whilst inside Lucas Simms house you will see a bottle of whiskey humourously stashed above his bed.
