(Redirected from HERMES)

HERMES Armor, developed by a division of Poseidon Energy working in conjunction with the Department of Defense, was intended to be the next generation of combat armor used by elite light infantry troops.

[edit] History

HERMES Armor never moved out of the prototype phase because members of the American shadow government, the Enclave, tried to keep its development secret.

  • Item type: advanced armor,
  • Item complement: HERMES helmet,
  • Item requirements:
    • 180 mechanics
    • 110 science
    • 5 pieces of Advanced Polycarbon
    • 14 pieces of Boron Carbide
    • 20 pieces of Advanced Polythylene

Arcade Gannon and lost Enclave patrol leader encountered in Utah area were using something called the Enclave Combat Armor (New Canaan design document).

The following is based on J.E. Sawyer's Fallout RPG and has not been confirmed by canon sources.

HERMES Armor was an incomplete combat armor project pioneered by the Enclave in conjunction with Poseidon Energy. Theoretically, it offered all of the protection of power armor without the cumbersome weight or strength enhancements. Technology level 9.

[edit] Possible inconsistencies

  • According to Van Buren, HERMES armor was developed by a division of Poseidon Energy working in conjunction with the American Department of Defense,
  • According to J.E. Sawyer's Fallout PnP HERMES armor was pioneered by the Enclave in conjunction with Poseidon Energy.
  • However before the Great War, the Enclave could have used Department of Defense as its agent in producing the armor.
