[edit] Notes

  • Gustavo's inventory refreshes every 72 hours.
  • Like other merchants, Gustavo holds his items in a nearby container, which he holds the key to.
  • If Tenpenny is killed, most of Gustavo's dialogue is still carried out as if Tenpenny is alive, but still has dialogue about how he took over after Tenpenny died.
  • If the player has the Lawbringer perk and kills Gustavo or any of the Tenpenny guards, they will have fingers on their corpses.
  • Being the head of security, Gustavo is naturally concerned with the intentions of Roy Phillips and his group, and speculates that he is planning to rush Tenpenny Tower with hordes of Ghouls. When the Lone Wanderer first encounters Chief Gustavo, he is denying Roy Phillips entry into Tenpenny Tower through an intercom.
  • After talking to Gustavo for a bit he mentions his distaste with the ghouls. He will offer a mission to get rid of Roy Phillips and the ghouls on a side quest called Tenpenny Tower (quest).
  • After the player's first encounter with Gustavo, he is found sitting in the lobby of the hotel. The player can also trade with Gustavo for ammunition and weapons, consisting mostly of small guns.

[edit] Bugs

  • If the player chooses to kill the Ghouls in the Tenpenny Tower quest, Gustavo might erroneously mention Tenpenny letting the Ghouls into Tenpenny Tower.
  • After killing Roy Phillips for Tenpenny Tower (quest), when you go to the tower, you may not find Gustavo in the entrance or outdoor the tower. In fact, it may be south of Warrington Trainyard and west of Warrington Station, dead, without any explanation. Of course, this may mean that you won't be able to finish the quest.
  • Found Doctor Banfield near the Bethesda ruins, wandering around with Gustavo. Saved them both from a raider attack, but their speech options were completely normal. Michael Hawthornes' body was also discovered outside the Nuka-Cola plant, presumably killed by raiders.
  • If you killed him by jumping through a gap in the wall leave and return again, he will answer on the intercom but when the dialogue finishes, the game will crash.
  • If you attempt to use the mesmetron on him while he is sitting down at the desk he will spin really fast and then his head will explode, he wont stand up.
