[edit] Daily schedule

He can be found in Ring A just outside the lab in the council room, outside in the courtyard training recruits during the daytime, or inside a dormitory in Ring A. He can also disappear for periods of time. Whether if that's a glitch or he goes outside for a "walk", it is not certain.

[edit] Interactions with the player character

He can give the Lone Wanderer Power Armor Training and isn't overly happy that the Lone Wanderer gets Power Armor Training without any work involved.

Permission must be granted by Elder Lyons before Gunny will provide the necessary training.

[edit] Notes

  • Paladin Gunny is considered a quest character and thus cannot be killed. (He can be killed after receiving power armor training)
  • "Gunny" is a common nickname for United States Marines holding the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.

[edit] Appearances

Paladin Gunny appears only in Fallout 3.

[edit] Behind the scenes

The line he says about relax your muscles when you receive Power Armor Training is a reference to the novel Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein. The narrator uses the same line to describe how soldiers in the Mobile Infantry are trained to wear power armor.
