Guardian drones are a more advanced model of the support drone, and they are armed with a drone cannon. If the player character possesses the drone control device, they can be recruited as temporary followers, albeit only one at a time.

Guardian drones are initially friendly; they will not attack the player unless attacked first.

- Guardian drones are not very common until after the space walk.
- The player character can shoot their hover platforms to temporarily disable their movement, as can be done to their counterparts.
- It is possible to shoot off a guardian drone's cannon.
- Like other robots in the Capital Wasteland, they can be deactivated if the player has the Robotics Expert perk.

- If two pods are directly next to each other, you can have two robots following you at one time. [verified]
